Rwandan investors have a crush on Nampula mining and energy sector

Rwandan

Rwandan investors are increasingly likely to locate to Nampula Province, where they are particularly attracted by opportunities in the mining and energy sectors. Recently, two Rwandan businessmen, Octavien Sebazungu and Antoine Hategekimana, established a partnership with the Mozambican Oliveira Albino Manhiça to launch two companies in quick succession, specialising in the exploration and marketing of precious and semi-precious gems: Gems North and Maluko.
In 2015, Sebazungu established the firm All in One in Nampula, specialising in exploration and management and sale of electricity and fossil fuels, as is the company Bottom Up which Hategekimana founded in 2015 – again in Nampula.
In late 2015, Joseph Nzabonimpa, a former Commander of Forces Armées Rwandaises (FAR), launched Global Trans Logistic (also located in Nampula) whose function is the management, exploration, transmission and sale of electricity, hydrocarbons and their derivatives.
