South Korean Input At New US$7 Billion Rovuma-Maputo Gas Pipeline


(2015-10-13) The South Korean business sector is interested in collaborating with Mozambique in the construction of a natural gas distribution pipeline connecting Rovuma with Maputo.

To this end, a memorandum of understanding between the Mozambican government and the relevant entrepreneurs covering the production of energy from natural gas as well as the construction of the pipeline is to be signed soon.

According to Managing Director of the Investment Promotion Centre, Lourenço Samo, the project is valued at more than US$7 billion.
