2015-10-14) The strengthening of the Suez Canal will have interesting effects for the transport of gas from Mozambique to the Mediterranean, ENI’s CEO Claudio Descalzi said on Wednesday , speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a hearing at the Italian Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
“The doubling of the channel [inaugurated in August] could possibly bring benefits for the gas coming from Mozambique to the Mediterranean,” said Desclazi, responding to a question on the expansion of the infrastructure connecting the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
Eni has been working in Mozambique since 2006.
