(2015-07-15) About 150 Mozambican entrepreneurs, led by the President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) Rogério Manuel, are today starting a visit to Portugal in search of new business opportunities.
One of the focuses of the business delegation, which is accompanying President Filipe Nyusi on his first visit to a European country, is the series of bilateral meetings with Portuguese companies due to take place.
The CTA hopes the visit will provide an important opportunity for Mozambican businessmen to form partnerships which will result in more business for the country and stimulate job creation.
In 2014, Portugal was the fourth largest foreign investor in Mozambique and generated the most jobs locally. In 2013, the country ranked sixth as supplier of goods and was the sixth largest purchaser of Mozambican products.
